All or Nothing

The world is changing rapidly.

The technology era has boosted all kinds of discussions about all kinds of topics across the internet and air waves. Information has never been so readily available, and I celebrate that.

I also realize that with great power comes responsibility, so it's time that I got informed about truth.

We are living in an age where people want to stand for something more than ever before: climate change, rights, abortion, technology etc.

If you´re the kind of person who sits on the fence, remains passive, or tries to blend into a somewhat "inoffensive" position, then perhaps, up until now, it has all worked out fine for you. I too, have often preferred to stay out of any sort of conflict. Usually because I don´t like to engage in conversations that become emotionally heated.

For example, if someone is arguing because they are personally "offended", I´m the kind of person to respond on a personal level, rather than debate anything. I´d ask "why are you offended?" "how did that make you feel?" "what was it about how I said it, or the way I said it, that hurt you?" Maybe it´s the more pastoral heart in me that would rather seek to minister to the heart of individuals than have a discussion about right and wrong.

But something cannot be silenced, watered down, or manipulated into "fun size".

And that is Jesus Christ.

In some parts of the world, people are being brutally and physically persecuted for their love devotion to Jesus, but there is nothing weak about those courageous soldiers. They will literally preach to their persecutors, "Jesus loves you and I love you" until their last breath.

In our world, the fear of man has been enough to keep people passive and silent about Jesus. But here´s there reality:

Heaven is real, and everything about our lives on this Earth is going to look so tiny in comparison to the moment where we are face to face with God in Heaven.

What are you living for?

"Fasten me upon your heart as a seal of fire forevermore. This living, consuming flame will seal you as my prisoner of love. My passion is stronger than the chains of death and the grave, all consuming as the very flashes of fire from the burning heart of God. Place this fierce, unrelenting fire over your entire being" - Song of songs 8:6
