What's brewing in our heart?

You've probably heard of my twins: Worthy & Beloved. Both being release within two months of each other. No, I'm not talking about actual human babies - at least, not yet! Rather, we are celebrating two retreats this year: One in Australia, and one in Sicily, Italy. Australia will be a cosy one, snuggled by the fire as the autumn winds twirl in the auburn coloured leaves past the windows, while our time in Italy will be a hybrid retreat & vacation. Each have been designed with slightly different, but similar goals in mind. Australia's BELOVED is an invitation for a quick tuck-away from the world. A literal retreat from busy lives, so that we can kindle the voice of the father's poetry in our hearts. A time to rest in the reality that we are, in fact, Beloved. And a time to explore what sort of outcomes follow that revelation and manifest in our personal lives. Italy's WORTHY will explore a similar theme. It is designed to be both a retreat from the world, and an energising vacation for the body & soul. Loads of vitamin D after a long, cold winter are very much due for many of us living in the Northern hemisphere. With a more concentrated focus on self-worth, exploring who we are as women and receiving healing & empowerment for our Holy & unique femininity. We want to also expose areas of shame in our hearts, and die to those lies, drowning them in the Mediterranean sea and coming out whole & free. All of this, of course in the context of fun, sun, and gelato. I am so looking forward to meeting all of these women in person. Something truly powerful happens when sisters from across the globe unite, trust each other, and choose each other. I believe that there is such a growing need for humans to have these deep interactions, mirroring one another in the flesh, and not just online. There is a deep longing to return to some of the benefits of belonging to a tribe, and it only gets louder as we progress more into an age of technology that we've never know before.

These retreats offer a sort of "pop-up" community, a "belonging intensive", you might say. And these micro-tribes can be cultivated into longer lasting relationships, and a globally interconnected culture that once having been tasted, will being accessible from any part of the world.

I'm wanting to build a family, essentially. In fact, both my husband Felix and I are dreaming of eventually creating a family that both men & women can belong to. A place of refuge, love, life, and worship to the trinity: the ultimate family of which we are all sons & daughters.

Family is at the core of both Felix & my own heart, and we are determined to continue growing in what we believe is the most effective and God-given form of leadership: Motherhood & Fatherhood. We are still very much at the "seed version" of the bigger dream, but are nonetheless deeply grateful to the Lord for placing this in our hearts, as well as giving us a model to actually make this happen. We're building a home, both internally and externally.

Internally in regards to our personal home culture, and eventually in regards to birthing children of our own (No, we haven't even started trying for babies just yet, but you'll hear all about it when it happens, I assure you!) Externally in the continual expansion of this micro tribe that we are gathering, the model of retreats, and, in future, God-willing, some kind of modern-day version of the monastic experience. A home dedicated to forever being a retreat, with community that both lives on the grounds and also passes through. A place of creativity, business, cultural transformation, and, most of all, high above all else, a place that gathers around the presence of God. A place where the incense of prayer & worship rises up to the Lord day & night.

These are some of the dreams on our heart, and we are allowing the Lord to lead and guide those in His own timing. We know for now that all of this simply starts with a home, and that is what we are focussing on. You're welcome to join our family, and also the upcoming retreats.
